We just finished up the final mix for Reggie Watts upcoming TV special Why Shit So Crazy?!, in which the beatboxing comedian plays D&D, speaks with Aliens, rides a tricycle, and somehow manages to keep people laughing through forty minutes of stand-up performance without ever really telling a joke. Seriuosly this guy is amazing. Watch his show when it airs next month on Comedy Central, or grab the DVD scheduled for release on May 18th and enjoy in glorious 5.1 surround sound.

Producers Noah Workman and Patrick Rousseau of Iris MediaWorks spent the week in our Mix room as we put the finishing touches on their latest feature Illegales, a modern day drama about human trafficing on the Mexican-American border.

Sonic installation artist Susan Philipsz's exhibit I See A Darkness opened today at the Tanya Bonakdar Gallery in Chelsea. This marks the 3rd exhibit that we've helped Susan out with by creating surround sound mixes of her beautiful Scottish singing voice.

Beard and moustache afficianados CHARLES PARKER NEWTON and his filmmaking friend MATT LAWRENCE came into studio A for untold facial destruction with their unshavable documentary: ENTER THE BEARD. Look out. No really, look out. There's a crazy beard coming your way. Not to mention some Austrians.

Congratulations to Lincoln Leopard Films! Their film White Lines and The Fever: The Death of DJ Junebug took home 2nd prize in the Short Documentary category at the South By Southwest Film Festival last night. Robin had the pleasure of meeting up with them in Yonkers last fall to record interviews for the movie with hip-hop legend Kurtis Blow and host of other old school icons.

Cory succesfully evaded capture by Somali Pirates and Al-Qaeda commandos last week to record sound for National Geographic on the island paradise of Soqotra. The Dragon's Blood tree pictured above is only one of many amazing natural wonders Cory got to observe during his week long stay on the Middle Eastern islands.

It was great to meet you! Thanks for all your help Friday night. You did a tremendous job for us and we really appreciate it! And it was a pleasure to work with you! I know that another member of the committee, Laurie Marvald, was so impressed that she'll be hiring Silver Sound for a large event the school has coming up in June. It's similar to the Taste of Tribeca, but is called TASTES and it's outside in the meatpacking district.
So, just wanted to say thanks for everything!
