Film Fight Rules and Regulations

  •  Participation in the Silver Sound Film FIght is open to all filmmakers and to all genres of film in all stages of Production.
     
  •  The Silver Sound Film Fight will comprise of three contests, with three (3) Grand Prize winners. The three categories are:
  1. Narrative
  2. Documentary
  3. Animation
  • One Grand Prize Winner will be selected from each of the three categories to receive the following prizes:
  1. The winner in the Narrative category will receive two hours of sound design and editing, two hours of ADR and/or  foley recording and 4 hours of sound mixing.
  2. The winner in the Documentary category will receive two hours of  VO recording, foley and/or denoising, and 4 hours of sound mixing.
  3. The winner in the Animation category will receive four hours of sound design and editing, two hours of VO recording and 2 hours of foley recording.
  • Submissions will be judged on the following criteria:  
  1. Originality
  2. Creativity
  3. Style
  4. Effort
  • All Narrative and Documentary submissions must be received by 6pm EST on February 28, 2010. All Animation submissions must be received by 6pm EST on March 30, 2010. Silver Sound is not responsible for lost or late submissions.
     
  • Each Silver Sound Film Fight 2010 Application must include:
  1. Script, treatment, or rough cut. Any other pertinent production materials.
  2. A completed entry form.
  3. The submission fee. Fee varies according to projected length of the final film; The fee for films up to 25 minutes long are $5.00, The fee for films over 25 minutes is $10.00.
  • Only one movie may be submitted per entry form.  If you wish to enter more than one movie, you must submit a separate, completed entry form for each entry.
     
  • Submission of a movie automatically grants
  1. Permission to Silver Sound and its affiliates to use clips, stills and audio from the submitted film for promotional use.
  2. Authorization of Silver Sound and its affiliates at their discretion the right to film, videotape, write about, and/or photograph your appearance, voice, name, likeness, biographical data, and city and state of residence for any and all marketing and promotional activities for the Silver Sound Film Fight 2010.
  • Winners in the Narrative and Documentary categories will be contacted by Silver Sound between the dates of March 15, 2010 and April 1, 2010. Winners in the Animation Category will be contacted between April 1, 2010 and April 15, 2010. Winners will be required to sign a contract of business for your project in order to claim any prizes. Any winner under the age of 18 must have their contract signed by a parent or legal guardian. If any winner can not be contacted within five business days of the first notification attempt, or if any winner does not agree to the terms and conditions, the winner forfeits their prize and a new winner will be selected.
     
  • By participating in the Silver Sound Film Fight 2010 and/or accepting any prize, Applicant agrees to release and indemnify Silver Sound, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this contest and/or acceptance of the Prize.
     
  • Winners are not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Silver Sound in its sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
     
  • Silver Sound reserves the right to modify the rules and regulations of this Silver Sound Film Fight 2010 at any given point in the contest process without prior notice.
